We are a family owned and operated restaurant for over 25 years. Our father, Tim Vo, first opened Pho Hoa at our first location in 1985 just up the street from where we are located today. We were one of the first few Vietnamese restaurants to introduce Pho to New Orleans. Almost three decades later, we are happy and proud to still have the opportunity to provide New Orleans with our special hot bowl of soup.
Our restaurant’s specialty is beef noodle soup, or Pho. What is Pho? The flavorful beef noodle soup is a common staple of Vietnam and it’s accurate to say that Pho is like Soul Food to Vietnam as fried chicken is to the South. Even though different regions in Vietnam might have different takes on the soup, the base and essence still derives from its core ingredients. It consists of a hot aromatic beef broth that has simmered for hours with different herbs and spices and served with rice noodles and thin slices of eye round steak, flank, brisket, tendons, and tripe. The Pho or beef noodle soup is topped with green onions, yellow onions, cilantro, Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeno peppers and a wedge of lime. A squeeze of sweet hoisin sauce and spicy sriracha chili paste can round out all the different components of the soup. We also have many other different items on our menu that include rice dishes, freshly wrapped spring rolls and egg rolls, flavorful beef stew with French bread, char-grilled lemongrass pork vermicelli noodle bowls, Vietnamese sandwiches and much more! Come join us and check out our newly renovated dining area!
